While the publication Kolkata—City of Print is a literary essay produced with different printing techniques and dedicated to Kolkata and different aspects of the medium of print in this West Bengal city, the exhibition of the same name shows what is withheld in the book: Material from research, photographs, bus tickets, advertising posters, "Little Magazines", paper samples, wedding invitations, film shots, receipts. In addition, there is material created in the investigation of possible places of production, such as blocks of wood, posters and invitation cards, all of this in variations, intentional and unintentional. The artifacts are accompanied by concisely set captions in German and Bengali, which in turn establish the connection to the content of the publication. The installation was part of the exhibition Auf der Suche in the Helmhaus, Zurich, in autumn 2019.
